Rylee has a little family of sorts, after she lost her own, which she adds to during this book. There are werewolves and vampires and witches and so forth, in their own unique versions here. But they’re only human, and she has some extra skills. Rylee has an antagonistic relationship with the FBI who can’t be sad she finds the children, only that she is better at their job than they are. There is a mystery and suspenseful search aspect. And the fact she hunts for missing children – what could be more compelling? She has talents which are unique and she doesn’t give up. She’s smart and caring despite a difficult past. I see so much potential in this character, Rylee. My friend, Sarah, from Queensland, recommended this series to me. One that is dangerously dark, brooding, and doesn’t know a thing about the supernatural. I have a werewolf for a pet, a Witch of a best friend, and have no need for anyone else in my life.īut when a salvage starts to spin out of control, help comes from a most unexpected direction. I am their last hope in bringing home the lost ones. When children go missing, and the Humans have no leads, I’m the one they call.
